Richard Rogers shares his name with Oscar Hammerstein's right hand man. Instead, this Rogers has the Godfather Of House at his side. Rogers & Jefferson, it has a good ring to it. When Marshall Jefferson laid down that piano on 'Move Your Body' I never expected that he would produce something like this a few years later.
Strings and Horns arranged and conducted by Orbert C. Davis for Orbark productions with Mark Ingram and Reggie Hall on backing vocals. Producer, mixed & written by the legendary Marshall Jefferson for On The House productions. Engineered by Bob Bennett. Licensed from SAM Records.

ReplyDeleteThanks 4 the props dude. You should check out the Finest Def Mix site, I believe he has Morales Sleaze Mix posted there. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat upload.
ReplyDeleteI have this on 12in vinyl somewhere.
You've saved me the bother of finding it and ripping it. So, thank you!
Just for the record, Marshall Jefferson is a producer - not an actual musician. This producer doesn't play any musical instruments! The piano on 'Move Your Body/The House Music Anthem' was played by Rudyard Forbes.
I'd have to dig out my Richard Rogers album to identify who played piano on CTLY :)
