Bass Attitude featuring Shay Jones on vocals. Treated Me Cruel came out on Go Beat Records (which I believe was something to do with Norman 'Beats International' Cook?) when they were still quite new.
I know nothing about the group but they appear to consist of Ronnie Herel, who was the man behind Quartz (Meltdown and Naked Love) and is now a DJ for the BBC. Danny Lerman is a well respected saxophonist from Boston and Shay Jones voice has been heard on many club tunes, especially early Chicago House.

I've got a house Shay Jones tunes called "Are You Gonna Be There", produced by Steve 'Silk' Hurley, which is a classic and a monster - this, however, is new to me... will check it out asap.
ReplyDeleteNice posting there our Mick! :)
Are You Gonna Be There is a pretty good club tune but this one is a soul groove.
ReplyDeleteTry it, you'll like it. ;-)
